Hello Tasters!

I was so surprised and touched that Patricia and James Smith gifted some honey to me from her very own beehive in her backyard located in a village called “Garden of Eden”. Her husband is the beekeeper.

She is an incredible dietitian who worked and grew the profession in the Yukon for many years and has now since moved to Nova Scotia. I was happy to see her at the Antigonish launch.

The honey looks amazing and I can’t wait to try some!

Honey

I am always so impressed to see people take on the challenge of producing their very own food.

Happy Tasting!

  1. Hi Irena, Great tracking your journey with Let’s Taste Canada!!
Remember – the bees produce honey – not humans!!! Love and sweet blessings for your journey, Penny

    1. Hahah yes Penny – you are correct. It appears my quick error has been caught – and clearly I need to speak to a beekeeper in my travels 🙂

  2. Bees would not be the easiest way to produce one’s own foods! It appears there is a spiritual element to this bee-keeping business for them – Garden of Eden, James 1:7 – Every good and perfect gift is from above… Enjoy the gift, may it give you lots of energy for the journey ahead!

    1. Haha yes Pat – true it isnt a full ‘food’ but it is delicious :). Yes, it is so interesting that there is a village called Garden of Eden nearby and they do reference religion more clearly on the other part of the label however it also had an address and phone number and I thought I may try to prevent the possibility of a ‘swarm’ of people 🙂 It was definitely a thoughtful surprise!
