Margo Riebe-Butt is a Dietitian who is from Halifax and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It was evident that she was working hard to improve food overall. She speaks to many components and was vulnerable in also the work of managing an organization as well as some of her thoughts on food. I loved her openness about how to learn how to cook and that the way she grew up impacted how she looked at good food. There was also the impact of where her family origins and various cultures have shaped her food philosophy as well.
Nourish Nova Scotia at the time was focused on the nutritional well-being of Nova Scotia children and youth to build their food knowledge and skills so they can feed themselves well into a healthy future.

As a note – this can also be considered ‘food literacy’ skills about the how to cook and to not be afraid of getting into the kitchen (and maybe enjoy it!). Please do take a listen – I will let Margo speak for herself.
Consider these podcasts as I was once recommended as different tools to add, try them on, see what works and build the concept around food which will work for you and your priorities recognizing that at various points in our lives we may have to shift the time spent on food. Being gentle is key.
Happy Tasting!
